Each year, the Las Vegas Area Council organizes events that reach not only to our members, alumni, and their families, but also to those that live in our community. These events range from those that appeal to anyone looking for excitement, such as our annual Mega Scout Expo, to targeted events that support specific our programs.

Troops and Crews have an opportunity to volunteer for Taste the Dream. We would like our community to show up and support in uniform. Youth who participate in the MLK service are eligible for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service patch available for purchase on the Scout Shop website.

Families or Units wishing to sign up need to register through the link below

The troop that achieves the highest number of ticket sales by January 29 will be selected to participate in the Bench Buddies experience. Additionally, the troop with the second-highest ticket sales will have the honor of serving as the Color Guard for the game.
*Bench Buddies - allows up to 15 kids to enjoy warmups from the Desert Dogs bench.

Ultimate Frisbee Clinic hosted by LV Bighorns

Cub Scout families are invited to experience the fast-paced, fun sport of Ultimate Frisbee at this special introductory clinic! Learn the basics: passing, running, and teamwork. Enjoy interactive drills led by experienced Las Vegas Bighorns Players. Put your skills into action with exciting games and activities. Who can Join: All skill levels are welcome! Parents are encouraged to stay and cheer on the fun. This is also a great chance to invite friends who are curious about Scouting!
