  • Sports Merit Badge with the Desert Dogs

Scouts BSA can earn the Sports Merit Badge at a special gathering before the Desert Dogs Scout Night Game 2/13/26. Special guest instructors from the athletic training staff. Limited to first 35 scouts. Requires game ticket for entry, follow link to buy ticket. Doors open 5 pm. Instruction starts 5:15 pm.

This NRA First Steps Rifle Course is also a "Scouting America" Rifle Shooting Merit Badge Program being held at the Clark County Shooting Complex, "NDOW Education Center" the building on the top of the hill. This course will include classroom and Rifle range time. This class will start promptly at 8AM. Please have the scouts wear lightweight comfortable clothing and no open toed shoes will be allowed on the range at anytime. Register here for tracking and follow link to register!

Blue Cards:

Remember your Scoutmaster must approve your working on this Merit Badge. If you are a member of the Las Vegas Area Council your unit can create an online blue card in Scoutbook. For instructions on how to create an online blue card Click Here

If you are a Scout from another council or if your unit is not using Scoutbook, we will send an electronic Blue Card indicating completion once the Counselor has verified it with us.
