The Fossil Trails District invites Cub Scout families to the inaugural - Arrow of Light Night & Troop Tour!
Join us on Thursday, March 12th, from 7-8:30pm, at St. Anthony of Padua, 6350 N. Fort Apache Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89149.
This unique and free event is a great opportunity for your Scout to explore the next step in their Scouting journey as they prepare to join Scouts BSA.
What Is the Troop Tour?
During this free, open‑house–style event, your family can visit multiple Scouts BSA Troops—including Girls’ Troops, Boys’ Troops, and Family Troops. Each unit will be available to share information about:
-
Their meeting times
-
Troop culture and personality
-
Annual activities and camping
-
Leadership style
-
Uniform and equipment needs
-
Registration process
-
Dues and fundraising
-
You’ll have the chance to talk directly with Scoutmasters, youth leaders, and families from each troop to find the best fit for your Scout.
Who Can Join Scouts BSA?
Scouts BSA is open to youth who meet any of the following:
-
Are 11 years old, or
-
Have completed the 5th grade, or
-
Have earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts
-
If your Scout fits one of these criteria, they’re eligible to begin their Scouts BSA adventure.
Why Attend?
Choosing a troop is an important step—each one has its own strengths, traditions, and style. The Troop Tour helps families:
-
Compare units in one convenient visit
-
Learn what makes each troop unique
-
Find a supportive environment where their Scout will thrive
-
Ask questions and explore options with no pressure
-
And best of all—the event is completely free!
Register using the link here. We hope to see you and your Scout there as they prepare for the next exciting chapter in their Scouting journey. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Kristina Crawford!
